It's the magic of arcade graphics before the Nintendo Gameboy was made. xD

Arcade games like Street Fighter and Guilty Gear have the same effect in their sprites. The 3-D look is made by a technique called "dithering", which can only be done by hand on a PC unless you have a Mac; Mac has a software program called Pixen to take care of the dithering.

In short: instead of looking like the usual Hurricane Floyd, it's Arcade Floyd. Cool

I was working it all night on Saturday and almost wiped out all the work. 3 hours' worth Shocked
Thankfully, I was chatting with Tom at the same time and sent him a full print-screenshot of some of the progress at full pixels, so I didn't have to start from scratch in the afternoon on Sunday. The pose was inspired by the same inspiration Junior was also inspired by to create Hurricane Floyd: Sonic

I'm working on pixel I.D.s all week, and the line-up is as follows:

TODAY: Hurricane Floyd
TUES: Carissa

THURS:Sarah
FRI: FREE SLOT
SAT: FREE SLOT

A pixel I.D. shows what you look like as a video game character, in old school arcade style. (sorry, modern videogames weren't invented yet : P) Think fighting games like Street Fighter.

I have my pixel I.D. in my signature, if you need an example. The trend is from deviantART, and I think it's pretty fun. : )
